Ricoh RDC-7If so, then the RDC-7 is designed for you. Winner of the profound American Photographer editors choice award, the RDC-7 represents the future of mobile image capture devices, formally know as digital cameras. From an image quality standpoint, the RDC-7 is unmatched. It can shift its 3.34MP CCD the distance of a pixel while capturing two images in eye blinking succession. The resulting image has over twice the image information that a normal 3MP camera can capture. Other unique feature lets you capture unlimited length full motion video with sound, use the camera as a digital voice recorder, photograph documents with crystal clarity, and even take images in rapid sequence. Other special features such a dual memory sources, a secondary shutter release for holding the camera vertically and optional remote control operation makes this camera revolutionary. Regular digital cameras record portrait view subjects horizontally. When processing the images on your computer, you have to rotate them 90 degrees. The RDC-7's secondary release mechanism eliminates this step by storing subjects in their correct orientation. Record and play back AVI movie clips, which use motion JPEG for superior image quality. Such clips are perfect for sharing with others across local area networks or over the Internet. You can record up to 5.5 minutes of video onto a 64MB SmartMediaTM card. The RDC-7 offers four language options: English, German, French, or Japanese. You can also switch to show your images on either the NTSC or PAL television systems. Scine then I have not looked back as it has taken over 7500 photos in the 18 months I have owned it. The camera itself is a nice slimline model which fits easily into the pocket like the old 110 cameras from years ago. its not the easiest to hold though and the strap feels flimsy but it has never let me down. The best way to use this camera is to use the hinged viewing screen. this can be twisted left and right to allow for easy viewing and gives a clear image but in bright conditions can be hard to see. underneath the screen there are several buttons which allow ...
