I bought this camera about 15 years ago for about £120. Today the value of the camera is maybe £5 but in that time if offered quite a lot cool features.
The cameras great feature was an inbuilt MP3 player. You could listen your music on the go and taking pictures on the same time. Today it is nothing extraordinary, however 15 years ago it was something quite unique. The next future was that in the camera was a inbuilt webcam to connect with computer - however you needed to put it on some shelf above your computer since it does not hold on the lid of computer like a standard webcam. Probably the last positive thing was that the camera was easy to use even for a person who never had a camera in his life before.
On the other side is that the camera is made out of plastic. It looks very cheap and does not feel good in hand either. It does not have enough memory, if you are lucky it can support so 32 MB. The pictures are in very bad quality (optical sensor resolution is only 0.3MP and just 1x optical zoom) and the printing quality is not better. The images have absolutely no sharp colors and have extremely poor sharpness.
Even this camera was purchased about 15 years ago, it was the worst camera I ever bought. It was definitely not worth the money.
I do not recommend this camera to anyone. Happily it is not anymore advertised on the market.
Having recently purchased at the LHR duty free shop, this Samsung e-35 digital camera, web camera and MP3 player, I would like to advise fellow readers, that if they want something basic, e.g. the camera has no zoom lens, then this is the item. It was on special offer at under GBP 120.00 and what else can you buy for that? I had explained to the salesman that I wanted primarily a digital camera for taking snapshots in the business, so far it has not only worked splendidly for that purpose but has also taken beautiful scenery shots. With a good printer and the right paper, the results are excellent considering it is only 1.1 million pixels. Samsung seem to be on the 'up' as far as I am concerned, I have two new Samsung mobiles (having had one stolen at Alicante airport - probably by a fellow brit! - so some of you out there also like them!) the SGH 600 is excellent, and on a recent visit to the middle east bought a Samsung 'Couple' web cam which works beautifully and is the only cam I have seen that has a clip for laptops.
