Advantages: Cheaper than some others, easy to use

Disadvantages: Picture quality may not be as good as the more expesive

The cost of buying a digicam had put us off for ages, until we moved house and had a bit of spare cash floating around. Even then, we didnl;t have a spare £400 or so, so we settled on the Samsung Digimax 800k, which cost us £150.00.

We've not used one before, so I can;t really compare it to anything, but from what we've seen of this one, it's pretty good. It's easy to download the pictures onto the pc, and very easy to use. You just point it and press the button. Simple!

I honestly have no idea how many pictures it will take in one go before the memory becomes full, as we've always downloaded it after we've taken 20 or so pictures. The picture quality is quite good, although how much of this is down to the quality of the camera or the pc I don;t know.

I would recommend this as a cheap digicam to people who want to get the hang of it and don;t want to ask too much of the camera. For the experts amongst you, it's probbaly totally inferior, but for the ignorant amongst us, it does pretty well.
