Advantages: quality pictures and video capture, easy to use and lots of features.

Disadvantages: slight delay between depressing button and picture being taken

This camera has proved it's weight in gold with excellent quality pictures for such small mega pixels. It is a very sturdy camera with explicit, easy to use functions. There is a dial at the top so you can quickly switch from being able to take a picture to capturing that precious moment on video. There is minimal delay in being able to use these functions when switching.

The centre dial is very easy to use also for a) turning the microphone on/off; b) setting the self-timer c) changing the flash type and d) doing macro shots.

There is a button that allows you to show all the info on the lcd screen, remove that and just see the batter life/zoom and number of pictures left or to have it turned off to save battery life.

The video quality is superb for the specifications and I have captured lots of precious moments with my 2 girls, much easier than digging out the camcorder!

The standard picture setting, that is 'MySet' has 3 options so you can set them up for different occasions. E.g large file size/excellent quality to email size. Or, black and white or sepia for one style. Different iso or shutter/aperature size.

The software that comes with this camera is very easy to navigate round and I have used it with other people's camera's instead of the software that has come with theirs.

Without any doubt I would buy this again. The only faults I have found are the delay between depressing the button and the picture taking, but when I compared it to my families' cameras from different companies it isn't that bad.

Summary: excellent camera for such low mega pixels.
