their Spring/end of Catalogue sale. After a quick search online for reviews and price comparisons I knew I was getting a good deal and I had previously owned a Samsung 35mm camera which I had always been impressed with so had no qualms regarding the make so went ahead and bought the camera. - - Opening up the well packaged box I pulled out my shiny new camera. Firstly I noted how light the camera was but then I was comparing to one of the early Digitals that were more like bricks. The Camera weighs around 170g. use for my wife and kids, but also capable of more creative and controlled work. After reading reviews on the net and in Digital Camera mag I settled on a Samsung Digimax V4. My Jessops local shop originally priced it at £299.99, but agreed to match a NET price of £262. Full credit to them. The camera is 105mmx55mmx38mm and weights a light 165g without batteries. It comes with a lithium non-rechargeable battery and can take a special Lithium chargeable, ormore usefully two Ni-H rechargeable AA batteries. It comes with a 32M SD card and can take TIFF (1:1), superfine (1:4), fine (1:8) and normal (1:12) resolution photos. The size can be set between large2272x1704pixels, ...

*** Introduction *** I have owned this camera for just over two years after buying it from Empire Direct for £215. I have taken approximately two thousand pictures with it - many of these are excellent quality, however a large number of them are simply awful. The camera will take excellent pictures outdoors, especially in bright sunlight, but struggles indoors, even if the room is fairly well lit. I think this due to a combination of the CCD (the chip that actually detects the light to obtain the picture) being fairly low quality and the flash being not particularly bright. Indoors pictures tend to look grainy, dark and brown under ...
