Samsung Digimax V700 ... Digimax V700 digital camera to produce even better images and take detailed photos for printing up to poster size. In addition, the Digimax V700 has a 3x optical and 10x digital zoom giving 30x total zoom when combined.

The Digimax V700 is ready to take pictures very quickly and its shot-to-shot speed allows instant shooting. Its instant booting allows you to shoot pictures as soon as the camera is turned on, and the high-speed shot-to-shot feature allows continuous high-speed shooting, This faster operation means you can capture more of the action as it happens.

For enhanced movie-shooting, the Digimax V700 supports MPEG-4 format, the high-compression high-quality movie clip format. It provides a recording time 3-4 times longer than conventional digital cameras, which is about 2 hours 10 minutes when you are using 256 MB memory, making it a perfect substitute for a camcorder .You can use the Digimax V700 to shoot a movie clip in VGA(640x480) at 30 fps and play it on your TV at the same, high quality it was taken, or enjoy it in your PC.

The Digimax V700 has a movie stabilizer for movie-shooting. Through automatic detection and correction of lateral and vertical camera movement caused by the operator's hand shaking, the recording of the subject itself is kept steady.

The Digimax V700 provides a built-in movie clip editing function that was previously only possible with use of a PC. This helps the user make better videos by allowing the selection of a part of a movie clip for saving, during playback. It also allows you to capture a selected part of a movie clip as a still image during playback.

With continuous video recording, you can pause and resume video recording any time you want, and merge multiple video files into a single file. You just press the Pause button to pause and press it again to resume recording. This extra video capability in the Digimax V700 is based on unique Samsung technology.

The Digimax V700 has special effects that give you a unique shooting experience beyond conventional picture taking. The special effects of the Digimax V700 are: Highlight, Composite, and Photo Frames. Highlight, enables you to emphasize a subject by putting its surroundings into soft focus. This is achieved using digital processing within the camera. With Composite, you can divide a shooting scene into 2-4 segments and save it into a single file. Photo Frame lets you add a photo frame from 3 different choices to a picture you have taken.

The Digimax V700 provides a histogram that shows a variety of shooting information, including brightness and contrast, to help you adjust exposure seamlessly. This histogram, displayed on a large 2.0" LCD in real time, effectively helps the user to adjust exposure more easily. Using the histogram feature provided by the Digimax V700, you can increase the number of great pictures taken through more accurate exposure adjustment.

With its Auto Macro function, the Digimax V700 automatically adjusts shooting distance and focus. You can press the macro button in Auto mode to set the camera to adjust distance and focus automatically from between 4 cm to infinity, Auto Macro can give crystal clear images regardless of the shooting range.

The Digimax V700 also has powerful manual picture-taking functions intended for advanced users who want more professional photos. The camera has detailed focus control with Manual Focusing. The Digimax V700 provides a PictBridge feature that allows you to print 7.1 mega-pixel photos directly from the camera to a compatible printer, without the need for a PC. In addition, it supports USB 2.0, that can be used to provide various useful functions at a much faster speed than USB 1.1.

On top of all this, The Digimax V700 is equipped with world class Schneider Kreuznach optics to deliver clearer, sharper images. Samsung Digimax 350SE

Crowned Review Bulky, Slow, Heavy and Average Battery Life (1255 words)

Rating:

My dad bought a Samsung Digimax 350SE (Second Edition?) when he first wanted to go digital, when he went to Hong Kong because electronics (and pretty much everything else) are generally cheaper there. The camera is quite an old model now and can only be considered an entry-level digital camera with its 3.2 megapixel count but for some reason, it still costs £249.95 in some places! Maybe the "Schneider lens" has something to do with it, as they re known for being good quality and improves pictures or something. The camera is silver and dark grey in colour and the build quality looks very high, but it is bit bulky compared to many cameras with similar ...

he got it for Christmas two Christmases ago. I use it quite a lot so feel I am able to comment on it. The model in question is the Samsung Digimax 50 Duo camera. What is it? It is a fairly simple digital camera which is so easy to work. It is also a lovely compact size being only 3.6x2.6x1.4 inches and weighing only 4.2oz.4 so it is easy to carry around with you. It can also be used as a low resolution webcam with 12 images per minute. However I have never used it for this purpose so can not comment on this. I would think the reason why it was chosen was because of Samsung being a reputable brand in the field of cameras. What does it come with? It comes ...

ages, until we moved house and had a bit of spare cash floating around. Even then, we didnl;t have a spare £400 or so, so we settled on the Samsung Digimax 800k, which cost us £150.00. We've not used one before, so I can;t really compare it to anything, but from what we've seen of this one, it's pretty good. It's easy to download the pictures onto the pc, and very easy to use. You just point it and press the button. Simple! I honestly have no idea how many pictures it will take in one go before the memory becomes full, as we've always downloaded it after we've taken 20 or so pictures. The picture quality is quite good, although how much ...
