Advantages: It's pink!
Disadvantages: Eats batteries like popeye eats spinach
Samsungs main aim when making this camera were for it to be compact, sleek and good for money! I have to agree with these points, but there are some I don't agree with.
Packaging.....
This camera comes in a basic box, nothing fancy. When you open it, you will be amazed, what turned me on about is was the colour. Im a real girly girl, so I loved the pink. The small camera fit right in my hand I was surprised about how light it was.
Whats in the box?....
As usual with technology like this, you get the usual packaging to protect the camera. As well as this, you also get,
A strap which makes carrying it much easier.
USB cable so when you want to upload your photos you can!
AC cable, not really sure what this is for, I think it's so you can put the pictures on the tv?
A manual, so you know what your doing.
A cd so you can put the soft wear on your computer.
What features does it have?....
For a small camera, it has a LOT of features. I don't know what most of them do but I will put the ones down that I use, I use a fair bit of the technology,
2.5 LED screen, so you can see what pictures your taking and also review the ones you have taken.
12.2 megapixel camera, so you know the little detail in your photos want be missed.
5x optical zoom, not sure what the optical means but I do use the zoom a lot.
Autofocus, this makes taking pictures much easier.
Red eye reduction, there's nothing worse that red devil eyes in your pic.
Face recognition, I don't know what this does but I know it's good.
27mm wide angle lens, I think this is so you can take wider pictures.
Possibly my favourite is that you can film and playback with sound.
How to charge.....
You don't charge this camera, it simply takes 2x AA batteries, I would recommend that you do buy rechargeable ones, I'll explain in my story.
In camera memory....
It's only 32 megabytes. So I would also recommend buying an SD card.
Availability.....
You will be able to get this camera in most technology stores. But I would definitely say you have a better chance and a wider range on the net.
Price...
Online you can pick them up from £90. In store you will pay around £100, obviously if there is not an offer on.
My story!.....
I got this camera not long back after saving some money up. I like to take pictures and especially getting married and starting a new life, I wanted to take great pictures of the years coming up. I didn't expect much anyway so I wasn't really let down. So I bought the camera, when I got it home I tore it open, as you do. Used a really good brand of batteries, started taking pictures of rubbish like, the snow outdoors, the dog and with in about half an hour of constant use, it died n me! So I took it upon myself to buy rechargeable batteries, the camera still lasts the same amount of time but I don't have to spend a fortune on batteries.
Advantages.......
It's a quirky little camera, however I wouldn't recommend it for proper photographers.
It's pink! Need I say more!
It's a relitavely cheap price for what it can do.
I like all the accessories that come with it, it's not often you get extras like this.
Good quality a pictures, the 12.2 megapixel camera is amazing!
Light and compact.
Disadvantages.....
Horrible battery life, averages about 15 photographs until the batteries die and the camera konks out.
When you buy the camera, you have to pay out for added extras because the camera does not offer enough e.g. Memory card, rechargeable batteries.
Summary....
A really good camera for someone who enjoys taking pictures, but not suitable for a photographer!
Would I recommend?
Yeah, I probably would, but for teenagers that enjoy doing duck faces in the mirror and uploading them on social networking sites as toys. I wouldn't recommend it for people who are serious about taking pictures.
Summary: A nice little nifty camera, but I think Samsung sould do something about the battery life
