Purchase this camera over a year ago, initially just for personal use such as photographing family parties, and days out.
I run a small business and needed something to photograph my products with, budget was strict so just used this one.
It is good enough, does the job to a decent standard, despite the settings a little limited and difficult to navigate.
At the beginning of this year, out of nowhere, we began to experience technical difficulties with the camera, it wouldn't switch on. After much investigating we managed to make it turn on by taking out the battery and putting it back in whilst holding the on button. It now will only turn on if this procedure is followed.
There was no explanation as to why, and it is very very inconvenient as it takes a while to turn on.
Other than that, we haven't really had any issues.
The anti shake setting on the camera is very handy as I tend to get the shakes quite often which used to result in blurry photos. Although you have to take your time with the picture to get the anti shake setting to kick in, it's pretty good. The setting wouldn't be suitable for photographing fast movement pictures because you need to snap them as it happens.
Overall, I find the camera good, not too good for value for money as there are better cameras out there within the same price bracket. But it does the job and gives nice quality photos.

Sorry about all the detail but I thought that I would include all the absolute details of this little beauty as I know that camera buffs check every detail before purchase. So that is for the camera anoraks!
This camera is beautifully made with a metal casing and comes with battery and mains/USB charger that only has a short lead.
This camera starts immediately at the touch of the power button, has a super large & clear screen and is so easy to use.
I wanted a camera that was complete and small enough to carry in my pocket. It definitely does what it says on the tin! This camera is so easy to operate that my 11 year old cousin has borrowed it as she was going on holiday and did not have one. She found it easy to use and with the extra memory card that I purchased she took over 500 pics!
When she returned the pictures were brilliant for such a cheap and small camera. Perhaps the only problem that I can find is that the USB cable is somewhat short. It is not a serious problem but one has to find something wrong!
It also comes with a wrist strap and a clear front protector. There was no case and no memory card so it was necessary for me to buy these. However I went on Amazon and purchase both for about £15.
I picked this camera up in the sale last Christmas - I actually have the ES75 with same specs but 14.2 megapixels. For the price I paid I was extremely impressed.
It is very compact and easily fits in your pocket (5.5cm * 9.5cm * 2.5cm approx). The lense goes completely into the camera when switched off.
- it has a good 5x optical zoom, therefore photo quality doesnt deteriorate while zooming. There are probably cameras with bigger zooms but as this is very compact you cannot expect much more.
With the 14 mega pixels you get a very clear picture.
The screen is large and very clear (4 * 5.5 cm).
The flash is good for dark inside shots. I have taken numerous photos at my other halfs gigs in dark venues, which have come out really well, you just have to make sure you have the correct settings.
The menus took a bit of getting used to, there are quite a few options.
It has a brilliant option of the "beauty shot", which when it recognises your face, it will make you look blemish free, and believe me it works! It does take a few seconds extra to process the photo in this mode.
The battery life is great, we recently had a little girl and have taken hundreds of photos and have only had to charge up probably twice in 3 months.
The only issue we have had with this camera is image stabilisation, which I cannot seem to get to work. When it is switched on all the photos come out fuzzy.
On the whole we really like this camera, especially for the price we paid.
I bought this camera from Amazon when it was in the sale, so I only paid £49.99 for it. Initially I wasn't very impressed, because a lot of the pictures I was taking were coming out really blurry. However, after taking the time to learn how to use the various different settings my photos started looking brilliant.
I have recently taken it on holiday to Canada and got some amazing pictures of the Rockies taken from inside a moving train, so all worries about this camera have gone. The zoom is great for a compact camera and the focus feature lets you know if your photo will be in focus by going green or red with a half depress of the shutter (green being an in focus photo).
The scratch resistant screen have been a god send as I am rather heavy handed with my cameras, often being thrown into the bottom of my handbag. This time I purchased a case to go alongside it as well, so that has helped too.
I find the battery life is good and haven't had a problem like the previous reviewer and I've had the camera for over a year now.
All in all, if you can get this for under £50 like I did, then you'll be grabbing yourself what I would consider a bargain!
I had this camera recommended to me by a friend but unfortunalty I've had nothing but trouble with it. When I first got it I was impressed by the photo quality and battery life but I am now on my 3rd camera. I bought the camera from argos for £79.99 and going off the specs this was a good price. Its 12.2 megapixels and has a 2.5inch display, which gives you a good view of the photos you've taken.
After about 2 months the first fault happened, the camera stopped powering up and wouldnt charge. I was given another camera and this one after 1 month developed the same fault. I purchased a spare battery and the camera still would'nt power up. Once again I took it back to Argos so I'm now on my 3rd camera, which is a shame as the camera seems great quality. The ultra wide angle lense is great for taking wide pictures and the screen is anti scratch which is great if your a bit rough with things.
Unfortunalty though there seems as if their could be a problem with the batteries for this camera which makes its good features pointless if you can't turn it on. Not recommended.
