Advantages: Easy to use.
Disadvantages: Have to buy a memory card.
My mum bought me this camera for my 17th birthday a few years ago, I really wanted a digital camera for special occasions and going out and things. I wanted one that wasnt stupidly expensive but was stylish and had good features. The main thing I wanted in the camera was a Li Ion battery because I had used my brothers digital camera many times and it took AA batterys and they lasted for only about 30 photos.
So I chose this camera out of Littlewoods Catalogue, it was just over £110. I thought it was a good price because it was more than 10 mega pixels. It came wayyyy before my birthday but I had to wait. This was my main present so I was really excited about getting it on my birthday.
The irst thing I noticed about it was how good it looked. You can get it in a range of colours including Pink, Black, Silver, Green and Blue. I had it in black and it was shiny and had a really nice finish.
Its really easy to use and understand. The dial on the top makes it really easy to know what mode your in. It doesnt have too many complicated buttons so its easy to work out what does what really quickly. Its zoom is really good and the focusing is amazing and quickly. It also has video capture which to be honest I dont use a lot but does come in handy when your at certain events that you dont just want to get pictures f but you want to video instead. Its quite slim and small so its easy to handle and comes with a strap so you can put that around your wrist and give you peace at mind because you dont have to worry about dropping it. It has lots of other modes, ones I dont actually know what they do.
If your like me and dont always want to use the flash for example outside and things, you can turn it off really easily with a click of a button. And turn it back on just as easy. Also it doesnt come on all the time if your outside. Because I think it senses the light which is great. The thing I find most amazing about the camera is the battery life. I took about 250 photos with flash and some without and it still had one bar of battery. The indication of the battery is on the LCD display at the top right corner. It has three bars when full and flashes red when about to run out.
It has an SD slot for a memory card, the SD cards are really cheap though, just remember to buy one before you get the camera because you can only take three pictures without one.
I think you can get this on Ebay now for about £30 which is an unbelieable price and I would highly recommend this camera for anyone. 2 years on and I still use it all the time.
Summary: Good all round
