      Very helpful

A stylish camera that will suit any avid, amateur photographer

I have been using the Samsung L700 digital camera for the past two to three years. Although newer cameras probably have superior technology, this camera is still top quality and would now be sold at a more reasonable price.

With its rechargable battery, the camera has a surprisingly long battery life and can be recharged with ease, by inserting the small battery into the square charger that is packaged with the camera.
It also has a very large digital screen on the back, which is of benefit to those who may struggle to see what is on smaller screens.

As you would expect, there are a range of modes and settings, from altering the size of the picture and the quality of the picture. finding the right settings for you is a matter of trial and error, but, regardless, the camera is capable of taking very high quality shots, and i have used it for a huge range of purposes.

The Movie function is also of very high quality. It is easy to use and contains a good quality micro-phone which will pick up speech clearly. This can cause problems, as background noises will get recorded.

The camera does require the user to buy an SD memory card, as the cameras own memory is insufficient (without a disk you'll be able to get, at most, 25 pictures). But with a 512MB card, at medium settings, the user can take 316 pictures or over 1 hour of video footage. The advantage of using an SD card is that you can remove and insert the card into your laptop to access the pictures, and photo developing shops will be able to use the card, which is safer then taking the camera with you.

My one complaint would be that the buttons on the back of the camera are very small and thus are easy to fumble or press the wrong button.

Overall, a good quality, robust camera at a reasonable price, but there are better cameras out there.
