This is my first digital camera review so bare with me ill try and give as much detail as possible.

I brought this on play.com for i think was around £70 a few months back, since i got it ive loved it, i mainly brought it for what it looked like when i saw a pic on a website and i was thinking it would be around £200-300 because of the look but turned out to be £70 so it was added to the basket straight away.....an impulse buy some might say.

When it arrived 3 days later i dived right in and found.

\\Features//

It features a nice 7.2 Megapixels with a 7x Optical Zoom and a maximum 1000 ISO perfect for any lighting conditions. For picture taking there is a Anti Shake Recution feature and an option of Manual Focus which proves better than Auto Focus most of the time especially for up close shots of up to 1cm. There is Video Recording with sound but the sound is only played back through a speaker outlet and not from the camera itself.
Auto will pick what it thinks is the best settings for the picture quality in the area you are taking your picture, in some cases it can work well others it can bring the flash up when it really isnt needed.
ASM is a best used for your own custom settings from choosing the brightness to the shutter speed when you are pointing at the target and getting the picture just right.
There are the usual effects you get on most cameras on this you get : Black & White, Sephia, Blue/Red/Green Tone and Negative, But there is a option for adding an effect bored to a picture by selecting it on the dial at the top of the camera it is a seperate ability to the camera and cant be added manually to a normal picture taken, it is sort of like adding a picture frame instantly with 8 designs available, with other various things you can create Motion GIF images [Animation] and Composite Shooting which enables the picture to be taken in 2/3/4 different angles in one picture.
An SD card slot is featured next to the Rechargeable Battery [No more AA Duracells needed].
The zooming feature in optical is brilliant the picture does not lose its quality until you go past this into 5.0x digital where unless you have a very steady hand or a still tripod its useless as the picture can blurr very easily.

\\Picture Quality//

What did i see in my 7.2 megapixels?......quite alot actually it captures alot of background imagery and doesnt just focus on the center of the picture, blacks are well defined and colours [Reds, Greens, Blues] stand out well without fade.

\\Looks//

The appearance is the reason i brought this and i still think its beautiful, the lens looks very professional and the camera has a strong black aluminium casing unlike the cheap plasticy feel like some at the same price, The LCD screen is clear and bright, the buttons around the screen are very smart by just rolling your fingers along them to select options you want almost like the Apple iPod scrool wheel feel.

\\Pros And Cons//

So there has to be some bad bits about the camera...

1. It would have to be that the lens doesnt detach which means you cant just slip into your pocket and stroll down the road without it being noticed.

2. The screw area for the tripod should be more centered, it is situated to the bottom left just under the lens which is the more weighted side and tends to make the tripod fall over.

But Also Good Points...

1. Impressive picture quality for what it costs, by far better than any camera i have owned.

2. The screen is large and clear with the smart touch buttons situated nicely around the edge.

3. The quality of the build is superb making it feel more like a £200 camera than a £70 one.

\\Overall Thought//

I would recommend anyone to get this camera and see how much they think it would cost if they didnt know the price, from now ill be purchasing more samsung cameras than my previous favourite kodak who dont come anywhere close to this beast. Brilliant.
