Advantages: Excellent image quality, easy to use
Disadvantages: Exposures are sometimes misjudged
I purchased this camera in december 2008 for £100 as a christmas present for myself.
I found the camera to be suprisingly compact compared to my previous nikon camea, this did not compromise on the usablilty though. The camera sits perfectly in the hand, and the rubber textured thumbgrip on the back is excellent.
I think anyone will agree that this camera looks the buisness, and people are constantly impressed by the build quality and durable feel of the camera due to its black aluminium body.
Supplied with the camera is a mains charger, USB cable and TV - Out Cable.
The camera is very easy to use, the control system is very intuitive although it takes some getting used to. Changing settings is quick and easy.
I regularly use the camera in Program (P) or Manual (M) modes, to allow me to have more control over the exposure of the photos, I have found the flash to wash out pictures so usually keep it turned off.
The auto mode is good for those who do not understand manual settings and judges exposures correctly 90% of the time, i have found it to overexpose (make the pictures too bright) on occasion though.
The camera prpoduces excellent detail and colour rendition and the photographs i have taken with this camera have impressed many people, they have mistaken them for pictures taken with an SLR camera.
The battery life on the camera is good too, and has lasted me about two hundred shots, I bought a second battery for use away from a charger, this was easy to find online.
I would recommend this camera to anyone, its compact, easy to use, and produces brilliant photographs
Summary: I would recommend this camera to anyone, its compact, easy to use and produces brilliant photographs
