It has 10 .1 million pixels and many features to help take great pictures such as the automatic shake reduction. When I received it, I was faced with a big user manual on the software disc provided. I purchased this camera a few months ago and i am very pleased with it, it takes excellent pictures, the macro mode is very good for doing close ups. I read another review of this camera and the person said that it was very difficult to navagate all the menus and to view the pictures that you have taken, this guy has to be doing something wrong as i find it very easy to use, if you purchase a memory card with this and save all your pictures to that they all go to the same folder and you can view them all at once with ease you can view them as thumbnails with about 12 or so on the screen at once of you can view one at a time and then zoom in on the pictures and edit them if you wish (crop, ...
