Advantages: Easy to use, lightweight, compact

This is a great camera if you're not a photographer, but like to take holiday snaps. It's really compact and lightweight, and has a decent zoom (although you really need a tripod or VERY steady hands to use the digital part of the zoom with much success...), several settings, and it's easy to turn the flash on and off, which is a must for me, as I often photograph papyri.
The pic quality can be awesome (it can be awful as well, but I am a bad photographer), and with a 2gb card in (I got one for about £10) it lasts forever - weeks and weeks without filling up the card. It also seems pretty easy on batteries (2 x AA), especially if you use rechargeables - a week's holiday in two sets of batteries (took 600 photos).
The only downsides are that it doesn't correct red-eye very well, and carrying cases are expensive from Samsung (doesn't come with), unless you buy a cheapo generic one. Otherwise, highly recommended for the money.

Summary: Great bargain, not for budding photographers, maybe, but fun for holidays
