attractive, slim camera with many useful functions

I bought this camera because it is so slim (1.7cm).

Even though the camera is so small the buttons are positioned well and where you would 'expect' them, making the camera fairly easy to use.

There are many useful functions and I would say that it is aimed at 'serious beginner'. Pictures are good quality, especially at 12 M pixels.

3x optical zoom and 5x digital zoom is adequate for most situations.

It comes with a USB cable, which can be used to connect to a computer OR to connect to the wall charger socket. It also comes with an AV cable to connect to the TV.

The screen is nice and large (2.7"), which gives a good image, but not the sharpest screen I've seen compared to others.

There is a SMART button, which automatically chooses the settings for the camera depending on the lighting, focus, distance etc. This function works quite well, however it is a bit slow while processing, so don't use this function for action shots!

The multiple delete option is very useful. You can select any images and delete, rather than the usual - select, confirm, delete process for each image. This saves alot of time, especially when you have taken many 'test' or multiple shots.

Face Detection Mode - camera detects faces and automatically sets focus and exposure.
Beauty Shot - allows retouching and tone control.
Self portrait - indicates when 'good' photo can be taken.
Smile detection - automatically takes photo when someone smiles.
Blink Detection - won't take photo if detect someone blinking.

Drive modes. Single shot, continuous (when button pressed), motion capture (5 shots per second), AEB (takes 3 photos with different exposures).

ANother useful feature is the photo edit option, where images can be cropped, colour adjustments, rotated and reduce pixels.

It has a built-in microphone. The video mode allows zoomng in/out whilst filming, however there is no focus option. In SMART mode there is some focusing at the end of each zoom in or out.
