Advantages: Easy to use, good quality photos
Disadvantages: x3 zoom is poor
To be succinct: this is a good, low-price camera.
I paid £75 for it, but I've no doubt if you look around you'll be able to get it a bit cheaper than that. I'm not a professional photographer by any means, but only wanted a camera that was lightweight, easy to carry, and took pictures that looked good when they were printed out - and this camera gave me that.
The picture quality is 14 megapixels I believe, which isn't earth-shattering but is really more than enough for basic photographic purposes - eg, taking holiday pictures or embarrassing pictures of drunken friends on nights out. One down-side is the zoom capability, which at only x3 is pretty disappointing, as you can get better zoom on camera-phones nowadays. But saying that, the picture quality doesn't seem to diminish when you actually use the zoom, so unless you need the phone for nature-spotting or voyeuristic purposes, I suppose it doesn't really matter.
It's easy to use, too, which can't be said for some digital cameras, where you have to go through what seems through a long list of options before you actually get to take a photo. The smile-recognition technology - well, I don't seem to get the point of that, as I don't need a camera to be able to recognise when somebody's smiling. Unless, of course, the person has a very weird smile, in which case the smile-recognition technology would have a hard time recognising it anyway. But I suppose it's a nice feature to have, if you're smile-recognition abilities are low.
So unless you're wanting a camera for more than basic purposes, I would recommend this one. I like it, anyway.
Summary: Good camera for everyday photographing
