      Great Entry Level Camera

I would recommend this camera for entry level users. I bought this camera as I had never used a DSLR before and needed something to practice with.

I found the camera really easy to use. The menu buttons are not complicated and it is very easy to change the ISO, white balance etc. I found that the lenses and accessories for the camera are not very expensive considering the camera is made by Sony and you also have the opportunity to use Tamron lenses. The camera has an LCD screen on the back which flips out, so good for taking pictures in akward positions!

The camera is nice weight and I have no problem carrying it around all day.

The only problem I have found with this camera is that the ISO only goes up to 3200 and the 'noise' on the images is very poor over ISO 800. The camera does not cope very well with low light conditions and requires a flash. The inbuilt flash is very powerful and you get a lot of shadows behind your subjects, but this can be rectified with a purchase of a flashgun.

      Brilliant value for money.

Going to a college where all my friends had their own SLR cameras, I was the only one still capturing images on my small compact camera. I had always thought DSLR cameras would be hard to use. However, I had soon came across the Sony Alpha390.

A light, stylish and very easy to use camera for those who would like to move up to using DSLR's. With its on screen guide book, you no longer have to spend hours reading the small complicated texts in user manuals trying to understand what all the complex words mean. The live view tilting screen allows you to capture pictures from awkward positions.

Even though Sony is not one of the strongest names in the DSLR industry, this camera is a very successfully product. For the price you pay, you are getting a lot for your money compared to other brands of cameras.

I personally recommend all beginner photographers to buy this camera as it is very user friendly and you can create some really good photography.

I got this camera for Christmas last year, and so far I am very satisfied by the product, the fun it creates and the images I have shot

I'm only starting out with photography and this camera suits that well, it is easy to use, the buttons and functions are well labelled, and when functions are chosen information comes up on what the function is and what it does, it also tells you the effects of the function.

I like how you can change the camera can use a live view where the image appears on the screen rather than you having to peer through the view finder, the screen can be adjusted with the screen being able to be pulled out and tilted at a 90 degree angle up so this means that shooting a shot at floor level is possible without you having to get in awkward positions , the screen also tilted down and around 45 degrees so you can still see the image being shot if the camera is above you. The image shown on live view is however very grainy buy you can see what you are taking and the photo taken is still best quality without grain.

The camera is reasonably light and stylish, a great accessory.
