Advantages: Amazing pictures without any fuss & very easy to use.
Disadvantages: Very small internal memory
This camera is just the right size and weight to be able to hold the camera stable to get some fantastic shots, to top it off, the list of features is massive! I love the touch screen on the back and the fact that you just scroll through menus without having to use lots of fiddly buttons. I would recommend that you invest in a screen protector before you start playing with the camera to avoid scratching your new camera.
There is an amazing range of pre-programmed settings for events such as fireworks, beaches, or twilights etc which are brilliant for a novice like me! I really like to just point and shoot and hope for the best and this camera allows me to do just that and give me perfect results everytime.
There is an option to use a lower resolution on your photographs which is good if you are planning on emailing them or only want 4x6 prints. The 10mp lens is great quality, but remember it will take up a lot of room on your laptop/pc when you start to download lots of photographs to store on your computer. I always use a lower image resolution for pictures for Ebay etc, as they are much quicker to upload.
I purchased a 1GB Sony pro duo memory card, a screen protector, and a carry case. Don't forget to factor in these costs when you are making your camera choice as the little extras can really add up. Sony do put all of the wires that you will need into the box, so you don't need to worry about finding camera leads etc to down load your pictures. They also include the sound and picture leads to wire your camera up to a television.
Summary: The best money i've ever spent on a camera

- 28/09/08 The internal memory is 25mb. You should expect to pay about £230 for just the camera. |

- 28/09/08 Much better. Now you should add in the price for future buyers to know and also state the memory of the camera before the 1GB memory card. Im surprised from a major brand like Sony, it doesn't come with this standard of memory anyway. |

- 28/09/08 Technical data? I think not. You've changed some of the words but the basic review comes from Adam Kemp. AND its not even stats! Sorry but thats copying! |
