I've had this camera for over a year now and so far i have been fairly pleased. I can't actually remember the price i paid but it was a good price for the camera. It takes pictures up to 6 megapixals but you can also select 3mp, HD widescreen and a few other options. If you like to show your images on a widescreen monitor or tv then select the widescreen option.
The big let down is the lack of accessories you get with the camera. When i bought it i had to buy a memory card separate, it came with no case, luckily i had a case that it fit in from my last camera. It only has a small wrist strap, no neck strap, and no battery pack, you have to replace batteries quite alot. I recommend always take a spare pair of batteries with you.
The picture quality is excellent and much better than what i actually needed but i am very pleased with it. I have it set as 6 megapixels and when i upload my pictures onto my computer via the supplied USB cable they are perfectly clear and when i click show full size image they are bigger than my 19" screen. They are perfect to print as perfect quality prints either on A4 or photo size paper.
The camera is a nice looking camera but the lens looks a bit weird and may put people off but trust me there is nothing wrong with it and it works perfectly well. It has 3x optical zoom but there is a way to add to this but i didn't really understand all that. Its flash function is great with a large light on the front which has a sensor which detects whether it is bright to turn flash off or it is dark and turn flash on. You can also select different flash modes yourself with the touch of a button on the back.
The buttons are simple to use and there is a good size LCD screen to view your pictures and see options from the menu.
As well as being able to see what your taking on the screen, you can also use the view finder like normal cameras have except this view finder also shows the zoom like the screen shows.
As well as being able to take good quality pictures, this camera can also film short videos. They are not very good quality or good sound but its good for a digital camera. If you want to get good quality videos then get a video camera. Depending on the size of the video you can film videos between 10 seconds and about 5 minutes. The camera has a built in microphone to record sound with the video.
Even though the camera doesn't come with a tripod you can easily connect one to it with the port on the base. The only thing is that it is to one side. I have never used a tripod so i can't really comment on this but i would have thought you would have to have a good sturdy tripod otherwise the camera may be unsturdy.
It is easy to view your photos on the screen and to delete them but what this camera lacks in the feature to select a few pictures and delete them all at once or to delete all the pictures in one go.
I know i have mentioned some problems with the camera but overall this is a good camera that i have been very pleased with. But i must say you you take pictures all the time then don't get this camera as you will need about 100 batteries just for a week.
If it´s the first time you´re operating a digital camera and you ´don´t understand much about photography this camera is ideal for you, it´s very easy to use, as an excelent quality of image and the price is tempting.Since i´ve bought my camera i can´t stop taking pictures with it and i tell you:I´ve never take such nice pictures as i´m taking now.
It´s real fun operating this camera.
