Advantages: lightweight, fits in pocket, easy to use, ideal for close or nearby subjects under good lighting

Disadvantages: only 12MB of internal memory, takes a long time to record a still shot, not ideal for scenery shots

I won the silver-color version of this digital camera from a local advertiser's raffle. This is a lightweight, smallish camera that you can carry in your jeans pocket. It has a very simple buttons layout and menu system, and you can start shooting pictures or videos even without reading the user manual. For still pictures, there are seven possible resolution modes or "image size" options. With the available 12 megabytes internal memory, you can save at most 60 VGA-resolution pictures (good enough for attaching to emails). If you want to take the higher resolution pictures, be prepared to settle for only 11 shots or less. But if you have just one 256-MB Memory Stick Duo card, you can have sufficient memory for most situations. The video mode has only one resolution mode (320x240); and the internal memory is good for only a very short 20 seconds of recording time. I noticed thought that whenever you take a shot, it takes the camera almost one second to record the shot. I think it's because this model has a charge-coupled device (CCD) image sensor instead of a CMOS sensor. Also, when you are taking still pictures of scenery or far-away objects in low-light conditions (using "Twilight" exposure mode), you really have to hold the camera as still as possible. Even slight movements will cause some blurring. For samples of scenery pictures taken with this camera, visit this webpage: www.panoramio.com/user/3509547.

Summary: Good snapshot camera for taking pictures of anything that randomly interests you

Very nice, I was thinking of getting this camera, and now I might. With regards to the internal space, most cameras have less. My 4MB camera could take 5 lol.
