I got this camera given to me for my 25th birthday and I loved it. It is so simple to use, for someone who is more of an aim and fire kinda girl. But my brother, who is really into photography broght one too and was he really impressed with all its features. I would definately recomend it to those of you who want very good quality happy snaps, a cute looking camera and the option of colour matched case (like mine!) or for those who want a great quality camera and the features it has such as face recognition and smile shutter (great for taking pics of my baby nephew smiling). I think fore the price it is great value for money as it's a trust worthy make and includes all the latest features so wont be 'out of date' anytime soon either. Your most dificult decision wont be whether to buy one or not- it'll be what colour to get it in!
The Sony cyber-shot DSC-T2/G is a lightweight compact camera weighing in at 156g which includes the batteries and the memory card. Can't get much lighter i hear you say... I agree. It makes it one of the smallest camera on the maket to date measuring just 86.8 x 56.8 x 20.2mm.
It has 8.1-megapixel with a 3x zoom lens equivalent to 38-114mm. It has an amazing 4Gb of internal memory (so you may not even need to buy a memory card for this one!) and a vibrant 2.7 touchscreen LCD. It is able to store well over 1,200 pictures at the maximum quality setting, or over 1,500 at the 5MP size.
It is a modern, stylish camera that comes in a variety of colours which include: black, white, turquoise blue, bright pink and the metallic lime green; this means you can personalise the camera which your personality or as a gift.
The Sony cyber-shot DSC-T2/G has many features such as face detection technology, smile shutter mode and Sony double anti-blur solution to minimize blur and to ensure sharp colours.
However, one bad point about this camera- it's image quality. Because Sony want to make the most of this camera internal memory, the files are very compressed which average out about 2.1MB per picture. This is very small for an 8 megapixel camera.
In conclusion, this camera is extremly stylish and ultra compact and has a range of interesting and helpful features. However, it is quite expensive, around about £200, and the image quality does not live up to this.
