If you are a control freak, this may not be the camera for you as it's is a true point-and-shoot camera. If you are stickler for image quality, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T700 is not for you. You cannot manually control the shutter speed and aperture, and the photos it produces can indeed look sub-par close up. Firstly I like the 'picture sharing' feature which made it so easier to view saved pictures because I remember it used to be hassle bringing up the pictures u took. One thing I like is Smile shutter and intelligent Scene technology which I have never found in any other sony cameras. Smile shutter technology will automatically take pictures untill the person stops smiling, so you can select the best picture out of all. The Sony Cyber-shot DSC T700 was originally out of my budget range and I wasn't even considering it. Once I had seen it in the shop I couldn't look at any of the cheaper cameras. It looks amazing! When closed you can hardly even tell it is a camera, it is very sleek, slim and small. The touch screen is great, very easy to use. The settings are variedtoo, it can be put on 'easy' and then its a very simply camera to use in terms of buttons to press. We purchased the Sony Cybershot DCS-T700 camera from Amazon at Christmas last year. The camera is extremely easy to use and the picture quality is outstanding. The camera has many special features, it takes excellent time delay photos when there's no-one around to take a picture of you. The camera takes excellent movie shots as well. We took the camera with us on a skiing trip and the photo quality was amazing. It's slim and quite lightweight so it can be easily carried around.
