Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T90
Advantages: sleek, great photos
I am a bit of a camera addict and I bought this camera for every day use and going out with my friends, wanting to keep my others for my travels. When I saw this strange style of digital cameras, compact and very thin with a lens that does not come out, I was very intrigued by the resolution, since to my understanding back then, the bigger the lens, the better the image. But when I saw the photos of my sony cyber-shot DSC-T90 I was astonished by the fact that the images were really nice, with one of the most easy to transport cameras I had ever seen.
The design is splendid it is really thin, yet strong and solid. It is also very light and I would say the best feature of the design is the capability to simply slide the lens cover, enabling the camera to snap that precious and unique moment you are watching within a second.
The LCD display is a 3 inch touch screen one, which is not bad, but I must say it feels a bit slow sometimes, especially to delete the photos you do not want. However it is big and the colours look great on it. The flash is very powerful, reaching very far for night-time photos.
The 4x zoom is quite good, which is quite surprising since the lens does not come out. A really useful feature is the iAuto which is perfect for those who do not know how to set up a camera really well. With this feature it does not matter what scene you have to take, the camera would do it for you adjusting the setting automatically.
Quality wise, I think the camera is very good. I have dropped it accidentally a couple of times causing some minor scratches on the lens cover, but nothing that comprises the camera functionality.
The price is very reasonable for the quality you get, mine was 200 pounds 3 years ago, which was not a lot for a 12.1 mega pixel camera.
Summary: take the fastest photos sliding the lens cover!
