I had purchased this camera from e-bay in an offer wherein I got an iPod shuffle free with it. I grabbed the big deal at the very first moment. My camera came to me within 3 days of placing my payment. I had the impression of it being a conventional bulky camera but when I opened the packet I was pleasantly surprised at the appearance of this cute camera. It is very light to hold and has a sleek and lustrous appearance that makes it irresistible! The one that I have is in silver color. Other color option ranging from black to pink are also available.The camera is provided with a soft carrying case, a battery a connection cord(USB, A/V cable for multi-use terminal), rechargeable battery, battery charger, neck strap, an instruction manual, a CD-ROM and a micro-SD 2 GB card. The soft case is very elegant and holds the camera well to avoid it from slipping anywhere.
The '''7.5 megapixel''' camera is very handy and takes well-defined, clear and detailed photographs. The '''4X zoom''' allows you to take distant photographs. One thing that I really appreciate about this camera is when you take distant pictures by zooming in the pictures are not smudged and appear rather clear! So it is good for focusing and taking distant pics as well! The flash can be set ON/OFF or automatic for still photography and it really provides good lighting effect to the pictures! However some time it might reflect off and provides high glossy effect so at that time you can switch it off.
After inserting the battery and the memory card I switched the camera on and I was prompted to enter the current date and time (which can be changed later). The camera makes a pleasant sound when being switched on and the display on its 2.5" LCD monitor is so lovable and everything is very clear! The usage of the camera is very easy and anyone can get familiar with it in a matter of minutes. The thing that I really liked is that this product is not loaded with numerous buttons for different functions. It is just an apt camera for the people who take photography as a hobby or just like to keep some snaps as a part of their memory... the photos can be easily shot with a click of one button. It provides various modes to take pics depending on the scenario you are in.
ïf¨ Twilight mode allows shooting in night time atmosphere so it is just apt to take your stunning photograph in that new party dress or that much awaited evening gown.
ïf¨ Easy shooting mode is the one that indicates to the user what is to be done to shoot a snap. It is much suited for the new users. Auto Adjustment mode is for the amateurs wherein the settings are adjusted automatically.
ïf¨ Movie Mode is for shooting videos with audio. I had recorded my cousin's video in this camera that too from quite a distance but it appeared very clear and bright. One flaw that users might fins is that videos cannot be zoomed in while shooting.
ïf¨ High Sensitivity mode lets you take pics in low light giving high details to the picture. The picture is shot without a flash but they appear clear and subtle.
ïf¨ Smile Shutter mode is my favorite mode. When this mode is on the pictures are taken automatically but only when the camera detects a full-fledged smile on your face. 6 pictures are taken simultaneously through this mode. A smile meter is indicated when this mode is on which traces the intensity of your smile. When it reaches the desired value it clicks the photos. You can take your own smiling photos through this mode! Since this shoots 6 photos in one go you can take your smiling photos from different angles!
ïf¨ Landscape mode lets you shoot photos from quite a distance. It is best to take photos when you are away on a holiday. The sceneries and other details are clearly captured.
One another features that it provides is that you can make a slide show and view pictures one by one with musical background. The music changes with sound effects and you can even change the type of music or download some other music file from PC. Another one of its great features is the battery! I had seen my friends changing their digi-camera's cells every now and then as they had very short life! I was looking for a camera with a good rechargeable battery and my search led me to this product! I am extremely happy with my selection. You can take approx 420 shot with full battery. It doesn't take much time to charge and provides great battery time!
When you connect the camera to the computer it is instantly detected and the file transfer is through drag and drop which is very convenient!
Overall this digital camera is excellent, good value for money product! It is very easy to use and its 7.2 mega pixel camera provides great picture quality. Among other the different modes one is the twilight mode which helps to capture snaps in the dark. It has a macro mode for shooting close-ups and self timer mode too.
