Advantages: Great picture quality - simple to use

Disadvantages: None

My husband bought me the Sony Cyberhot W210 for my Birthday.
What a great camera! I am not in the least bit good with anything technical, but this camera is a doddle to work. I spent about half an hour reading the manual and checking out all the functions after which I had pretty much mastered it's operation.
The display screen is about 2 1/2 inches, the remaining inch of the back of the camera is the control panel. There is a simple dial which you turn to select your picture mode, of which there are 10, including movie mode, so the camera also doubles as a video camera.
Once you have captured your pictures, they are really simple to view, retouch or delete. It's also difficult to delete any pictures by accident as the camera asks you if you are sure you want to delete.
I have found the smile detection setting to be really useful - fantastic for capturing children when they finally smile. There is also a beach setting which really picks up the blue of the water. Alongside the more specific settings there is also an easy shooting mode which just lets you snap away and an auto adjustment which automatically uses the flash if required.
The camera also has a setting where it can take multiple photos after just one press of the button, great if you're trying to capture a moving object (or child) just at the right moment.
The zoom is excellent and even after closing in on objects far in the distance I've found the resulting photos to be crystal clear - you wouldn't know that they had been taken from afar.
There is a timer button on the camera which allows you to take a photo 10 seconds after the shutter button is pressed.
The camera has a rechargable lithium battery and mains powered charger connection. The on-screen display shows you how much charge is remaining in the battery. I personally have found it to last several days of heavy use before it runs out.
The camera comes with all the connections you need to hook it up to a computer and download your pictures.
I've been really pleased with this camera. Once printed, the quality of our photos has been amazing. It's a bonus that it's also so simple to use - my 4 year old daughter now knows how to operate it and can zoom and take photos with it!
Overall a great camera .
