High quality images, with this good value, user friendly camera. (Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W50)

Advantages: user friendly for technophobes and exceptional battery life. Disadvantages: Nothing really - a case would be nice though! I bought this camera last summer before I went to Seville in Spain. This is an excellent camera for anyone who is baffled by cameras or technology in general, as the camera has been designed to be very user friendly. As well as a simple point-and-shoot setting, other scene modes are available by twizzling the dial on the side of the LCD screen, and you don't have to know what they mean as an explanation is displayed on the screen. The movie function also takes footage in good clarity - good if you're somewhere where a camcorder is not appropriate. The second big seller for this camera is the rechargeable lithium battery supplied. So much easier and cost effective than AA batteries, that it is worth paying for when choosing a camera. When on holiday, the battery lasted for days even with me constantly checking every photo. The only thing missing, is that it would be nice if they supplied a case, something rare with modern cameras. Summary: Just one of Sony's many cameras, this one is a cracker - I imagine others are too!
