Advantages: Easy to Use

Disadvantages: LCD difficult to see in bright sunshine

My husband decided to buy me a Sony Cybershot for our wedding anniversary instead of a matching pendant for my ear rings and after being miffed I am now so pleased that he did. I have just returned from my holiday and the Sony cyber-shot was such a bonus and much better than my compact Olympus 35mm. The Sony Cyber-shot is so light and compact and fits comfortably in your pocket and beach bag. The quality of the picture is amazing and there are 10 programmes to choose from and the self timer is great when you need a pix of the both of you. But I will say that you need to purchase an extra memory stick to upgrade as the one provided does not hold enough so please take this exspense into consideration when purchasing your camera. I wont bore you will the techie stuff but suffice to say Sony Cyber-shot is the best compact digital camera to purchase. One ownsides is the price of the accessories way too expensive I paid £24.99 for the pink leather case it may look cool but it should do at that price but on the other hand it does the job it is designed for and protects the camera. You can buy cheaper versions but I prefer to have all sony accessories for the sony Cyber-shot
