Sony Strikes Again (Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S50)
Advantages: Easy to use, Compact size, Plenty of accessories Disadvantages: Power consumption
This has got to be one of the best cameras in its price range, if not the best, and it beats a lot of digital cameras, costing a lot more money, if anything there are too many bits to play with in the menu, it's a great camera for anyone starting out, and makes a good first step into the more advanced stuff, The only problems I have with it, is because of the small LCD screen, it can be a bit hard to read the menus and stuff, but thats not a fault as such it's my bad eyesight, the main problem so far is the high power consumption, I use the standard alkaline rechargable batteries that come with it, and they last no time at all, I now carry two spare sets and this works for me, I recommend anyone buying this also gets the infoLITHIUM battery, as increases the user time from thirty minutes to ninety minutes, with a camera with so much going on it,s hardly suprising the power consumtion is high, theres far too many things to mention here, I've had mine six months and still find new bits in the menus, The software that comes with it is a bit basic, but it works, and unless your into the serious stuff of editing and playing around like me, it do's the job, this camera will do all that Sony claim and more, as I said the only real complaint I have is the power consumption, but this is easy to rectify at a price, there are plenty of accessory's for this little beauty, so its easy to upgrade, Summary: |
