This has got to be one of the best cameras in its price range, if not the best, and it beats a lot of digital cameras, costing a lot more money, if anything there are too many bits to play with in the menu, it's a great camera for anyone starting out, and makes a good first step into the more advanced stuff, The only problems I have with it, ... I have owned a DSC-S50 since September last year and since then, have taken it everywhere. It is an excellent piece of equipment, especially if you upgrade the 4MB memory stick supplied with it to a 32MB, which has the capacity to shoot in excess of 80 pictures. The MPEGMOVIE feature is an added bonus for those who don't have a need for a ... Read the complete review

First impressions were of a compact, well built, well made camera, . There are a couple of minor problems with the camera, like the lack of a case, and the fact that at maximum resolution you can only store approx 6 images on the memory stick supplied. But initial impressions were pretty good, especially when we took it to a freinds party ... Read the complete review

I had been toying with buying a digital camera for a while. I wanted a decent one, but was unable to persuade my girlfriend that we needed one enough to spend a few hundred on one. So when Argos offered the Sony DSC-S50 at a knockdown price of £350 I couldn't resist. Plus (I told my girlfriend) 'If we don't use it we can take it back ... Read the complete review

I've owned the Cybershot DSC-S50 for about 8 months now, and I've managed to take over 250 pictures with some great results. As common with all digital cameras today they all suffer from the Marketing mens' hype and this camera is no exception. Forget any references to how many special effects or digital effects a camera has, its ... Read the complete review

I have used my company's Canon digtal camera for a couple of years and decided it was time to invest im my own. Having looked around for a while, I bought the Sony DSC-S50. It has the features I thought would be most useful: a 6x digital zoom, USB connection for fast image downloading, very manageable controls and uses a Memory ... Read the complete review
