I can't say enough about this camera! I searched for reviews and looked in stores for weeks before I made my choice. The first look at the Sony V3 and I knew it was the right one. I held it and saw the huge lcd screen and I wanted it, but I still wanted to look and make sure this was the right camera. Sometimes the appearance is the only thing the camera has that is good, but in this case this camera is rated a 10 for all reasons for me. I compared the Sony v3 to the Canon G6 and I just did'nt like the silver color of the Canon and it was too big and bulky compared to the nice sleek small Sony v3. The black is the best color for this camera as well in my opinion. I compared the two and the Sony was much, much, much quicker at taking shots than the Canon G6. I compared the quality and on 8x10 photos there was hardly any diffence, except the Sony's pictures had much more brightly vivid colors. The skintones on the Sony is true to life as the Canon did'nt quite match up. Overall the Sony was much better, has slr features, a huge lcd screen, a lens that has a cover made in (unlike cap)the Canon's pop off lens cap came off too easily and I would have ended up scratching the lens. I like that Sony has telephoto lens, wideangle lens and filters to add to the camera and I love all the features to the camera. The battery life is WONDERFUL! It took a full week of me playing with the camera, taking over 400 photos and zooming in and out and using the flash before the battery got low. It shows the exact min. left of the battery life so you always know how long of a battery life you have! The camera was worth every penny! I could'nt think of much wrong , but it would have been nice if Sony would have added at least a memory card or had built in memory to start with, but not much of a complaint.
