Advantages: Screen and photo quality

Disadvantages: None really apart from mine has just started playing up after 4 years.

I have had the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W1 for about just over 4 years and it has lasted very well. Admittedly the couple of months I have had a problem with the mode selector wheel on top of the camera playing up but it has lasted 4 years so I cant complain. I have taken some really great photos with this camera, it has few easy to use modes to use it different situations and also a manual mode if you want to tinker the settings. The video mode is pretty good although it struggles to catch up with the focussing sometimes. It has a large LCD screen which makes taking and reviewing photo very easy indeed. It comes complete with battery charger and USB/TV lead, the batteries last a good amount of time can easily last a couple of days dependant of usage.

The memory card that comes as standard is only 64mb so you will have to purchase another larger card.

Summary: An excellent camera although a few years old now.
