uses floppy disks to store images (Sony Mavica MVC-FD73)

Advantages: uses existing floppy disk technology to store images Disadvantages: poor download speeds and storage capacity on floppy disk
Excellent camera for taking snapshots. Pretty good definition, Although could be better for making larger prints (8 By 10 and up). The zoom capability is very good, as is its ability to take nice, acceptible shots in lower than optimum light conditions. In my opinion, battery life could be better, a plus here is the auto shut off when it has been idle for a time, but when actively taking photos, it just seems like there should be another 1/2 hour or so to battery life. Basically good onscreen instructions for the picture effects abilities, however, I would certainly like a few "reminders" on a laminated card that would come attached to the shoulder strap. If I were to have that, I know I would make more use of the full range of the cameras options. I have found no need to use any customer service, because the camera appears to be very solid, and continues to perform perfectly (even with some fairly rough treatment), so it deserves very high marks as far as being trouble free. Note. For the "star rating", If the option would have been available, I would have given this camera a 3+ or 4- for image quality, since it is very good on the computer, and very good for smaller prints, (more than adequate on 3 by 5 or 4 by 6) it just starts to lose a bit as the prints get larger (and most folks don't use that many larger prints).
