Advantages: High quality stills, floppy disk media, up to 40 stills per floppy, movie clip facility, output to video/tv.

Disadvantages: Expensive, a bit bulky, videos not great quality

Despite it's hefty price tag, the Mavica has got to be one of (if not THE) best digital cameras around.

One of the main benefits of the camera is that it stores images on 3.5" floppy disks, which means that (as opposed to memory sticks/cards) the media is cheap, readily available and easily changeable, and with the ability to store up to 40 images on a single floppy, this camera is actually practical to take on holiday - just think, a 10 pack of disks costing about £4 could store up to 400 images!! The disk can then be simply popped into the computer and opened straight away. Images can be stored in .bmp, .jpg and .gif format in a variety of qualities and sizes.

The disadvantage of the floppy disk drive is that it considerably increases the size of the camera, meaning that it could be a pain to carry aound everywhere.
