The MVC-FD97 has a Memory Stick Slot that fully enhances the functionality of FD Mavica. Image data saved in the Memory Stick and floppy disk can be interchanged freely, which enables two-way internal data transmission. A new Copy Mode allows users to proceed copying in case the total file size of images exceeds the size of a floppy disk (1.4MB). The copying process continues with the replacement of a new floppy disk. The MVC-FD97 offers a new Clip Motion Recording Mode. Just press the shutter button, images captured will be converted to Clip Motion and automatically connected as continuous frames. Users can easily make animation and save the file directly in Memory Stick without going through any computer process, while the Clip Motion files can be played on a computer. Other newly added functions of the MVC-FD97 include MPEG Movie Recording Mode and USB terminal. Users are able to capture short movie clips up to 85 minutes and 20 seconds with an optional 128MB Memory Stick. The USB terminal allows for speedy transmission of data and images. great, but scanning the pictures is a bind. This is where the idea of a good functional digital camera came from! After much deliberation the Sony Digital Mavica (or MVC-FD90) was the choice. Why? Let's put it into perspective so you can get an idea of my personal needs. The Requirements 1) A camera that was not too complicated but offered a decent selection of functions 2) USB connection optional. Would prefer 3.5" disk storage meaning no leads and unlimited storage by swapping disks when full 3) A decent zoom 4) Good quality shots so a reasonable picture resolution was needed 5) Nice big viewing screen so you can see what you are doing Pretty ...

Rating:
This is an easy to use and very useful camera. The major advantage with it is that you don't need to install any special software or use some sort of cable to get the images from your camera onto the computer. The camera actually stores everything on floppy disk which does make the camera large though and also slow when you are ...

digital camera from Sony . With the price under £1000 it has a drive to insert a floopy disk where all your pictures is going to be stored in diskette. With a top resolution of 1024x768 pixels only, and it is not as compact as others because it uses a floopy drive which increases the size of this camera. However, storing in ...
