Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S950 ... used this camera extensively whilst travelling, overall I am very satisfied with it. In terms of size, it is good - it feels solid and durable whilst still being easy to carry around and not too ostentatious. The quality of pictures taken on this camera is high; however, I have struggled to find the correct setting in low light and pictures taken at dawn or in the evening have often come out poor quality or grainy. Similarly, I have found that the automatic flash settings are perhaps not always ideal - however, it is very simple to manually choose which flash setting to use so this has not been a problem. Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S930 ... camera is cheap especially for a Sony so at first I was wary that the quality may not be that great. The camera was bought primarliy for a trip to New York in the Summer and as such I was able to test the camera in sunshine, rain, and at night. I was extremely happy with the picture quality I was able to achieve, in fact it out performed my friend s Olympus camera at night. It has 10megapixels and a 3x zoom which I found to be useable but this may not be sufficient for some.It uses face detection and steady shot technology which help give that clear image.
