Toshiba PDR-M81The PDR-M81 captures images of such natural color and clarity that they mirror the appearance of those taken with non-digital cameras. Printing at 300 dpi yields eye-catching photographs suitable for framing or family photo books. Business people will find that they can easily incorporate the images into top-notch looking brochures, reports and presentations. Plus, the PDR-M81 is perfect for producing internet-ready photography or video for web pages and e-mail attachments. The camera's arsenal of professional-level features includes, (f=7.25 to 20.3mm equivalent to 35-100mm on a 35mm camera), all glass lenses equipped with a 2.8X optical and a 2.2X digital zoom. There's also a macro mode for photographing subjects as close-up as four-inches away with sharpness. The camera's automatic settings take the guesswork out of digital photography and allow new users to experience the fun and satisfaction of becoming a digital photographer just in minutes after taking the camera out of the box. Plus, the camera's manual features - including full exposure control and white balance - aid discriminating photographers in achieving their own personal vision. The PDR-M81 makes a striking impression with its highly polished silver and black color scheme. It's so small it is easy to take with you anywhere you go for fun or business. Here's another great feature: the AVI Movie Mode that lets you film up to three minutes of video with audio. When the video is finished you can view it on your computer, television, or on the camera's color LCD. Capture special moments with family and friends... spruce up a web page... or use the video as an e-mail attachment. The possibilities are truly endless. |

our info we set off to our local comet, without the children!, to have a good browse. After a good look, going through all the various specs, decided on the Toshiba PDRM25. It came with an 8mb smartmedia card and a 16mb one free, I think that s what swung it. I just love freebies. I can t remember exactly what we paid now but it was around average. The camera comes with a really thick manual, and it s so tempting to ignore it, as it would takes ages to read. But once I did get around to reading it I found it very useful and very simple to follow. In case you can t be bothered to read through the review here is a brief summary of it s features. Weighs 230g (excluding ...

In many ways this the same camera as the PDR -M1, but with the major addition of a 3x optical zoom, along with some minor but noticeable improvements in image quality. The Lowdown This camera features a 1.5 megapixel, 1/2 inch CCD sensor for excellent resolution. It can capture 1280x1024 and 640x480 image sizes. As noted previously, it has a 3x true optical zoom lens (35-105mm equivalent on 35mm camera) as well as a 2x digital zoom that extends the effective focal length to 210 mm equivalent. There is both optical and LCD (1.8", 70K pixel) viewfinders, and an internal 5-mode flash. The flash modes include low-power "Ext. Sync." mode for use with ...

This Toshiba is small enough to fit your pocket/purse and has a good set of features and it comes with very user friendly software. It takes good pictures with six quality levels and is not the kind of digital that will quicky look and feel outdated by newer machines on the market. Battery life (rechargeable) is very good. ...
