Advantages: Cheap, comes with all of the leads neccesary and comes with a waterproof case
Disadvantages: Low picture quality in dark lighting.
The Vivitar Vivi Cam was a present that I received from my parents for christmas one year. It didn't come with any batteries, but it came with usb and tv to camera leads for showing off the photos and videos you had taken , and with a waterproof case for taking pictures near the pool or undewater. It was an ok camera for just £50
The box that it came folded open to show the leads, the camera ,a software disc and the cases. The very few pictures that I had taken with this weren't of very high quality because the rooms were quite dark and I later came to discover that it can only take high quality pictures in bright environments. The waterproof case is very good as it comes with a lanyard for securing it around your wrist or ankle, and the type of clasp on the lock is difficult to undo by accident which is also extremely useful.I don't know what depth it is waterproof to but I don't imagine you could go to the wreck of the Titanic and expect it to remain water-proof.
The USB and SD card slots on the camera are covered by little silicone covers which didn't stay in that well but are supposed to work as anti-dust plugs. The user interface on the camera isn't very complicated and I was able to use it without needing to read the manual for operating instructions. And sometimes , depending on the lighting, the white colour becomes a shade of yellow
All in all I would recommend this to a friend who was looking for a camera to take on holiday, but not to one who was looking for a camera to take professional photo shoots with. And I would also recommend buying an extra SD card because the
Summary: Not reccommended for people who desire to be professional photographers
