      Photo frama

      ** Sony DPF-X800 **

Sometimes you have those new devices that you think I'm never going to buy one! I had that with a digital photo frame because I thought it just looks cheap and it doesn't have the same effect as a real photo frame. Well I gave in and we bought one after we saw one at friends of ours. It looked stylish and it was interesting to see all their family pictures and the photo frame really suited their interior so it was time to get one ourselves.

A digital photo frame is just a device with an LCD screen. You can show your pictures that you made with your digital camera or just pictures that you found on the internet. It's much better then watching the pictures on the little camera screen. I really love the frame itself. It's black and it shines a little bit. It looks really expensive. The LCD is 8 inch which is big enough for most pictures. Right in the corner you have the sensor for the remote. At the back you have the ports for the USB cable and also for the television. On the left you can place the memory card/stick.

With the digital photo frame you get of course the frame, a remote, wire, adaptor and a manual. You don't really need the manual because it's all very easy. The first time you start the photo frame you get a few instructions and you have to give the time. When you place your memory card in the back a little light will flash. With the view mode I can select how I want the pictures to be shown. With the arrow keys you can select for example the slideshow mode. And then again I have several possibilities. I can choose different interval times and several effects when it's going to the next picture.

What I find especially useful is that I can connect my camera directly with the USB cable. Very handy is that you have a lot of options like you would normally have on your computer. You have the option to zoom in, rotate, adjust the contract. You also have the auto touch option where you can solve some problems like red eye reduction. You can save the picture on to the internal memory which is 2GB. All very easy to do.

The only downside to this photo frame is that it isn't cheap. We paid over 200 pounds for this one but I have to say it's worth it. It looks really good in our living room and not cheap like I have seen at some other people houses. The pictures look really sharp and bright and I love the little options you have on the photo frame itself. So it was definitely worth the money!
