I always take some ibuprofen in my hand luggage as the air pressure plays havoc with my sinuses and I sometimes end up with a bad headache, especially on long flights. I once had a migraine on a flight to New York and I was especially grateful for my nurofen. If the medication is something you rely on then it's always best to take it in your hand luggage, although obviously if it's in liquid form get the ... more

I'm going on holiday in a couple of weeks time so it's round about now that I am usually making loads of lists detailing everything I'm going to need. Here are the top ten things (in no particular order) that I always make sure are accompanying me on my travels. 1) Travel Documents folder. I say folder, but it's actually a clear plastic envelope of around A5 size that I bought from WH Smith to keep all my documents inside. In it I keep my passport, travel insurance document with contact details and policy number, car park confirmation and airline tickets or confirmation printout if it's a ticketless airline. This is quite handy to have ...  Read the complete review

The last time i was on holiday was in March when my lovely boyfriend decided to book a surprise holiday away for the two of us to Florida! Brilliant i thought and i was really excited to get a tan but also nervous at the same time as i suffer from Agorophobia and wasnt sure if i would be able to get on the plane or leave the house. Finally, the day came and with the help of my medication, i was able to go. Here are the ten things that i think are indispensible and you need to bring on holiday with you ~ 1 ~ Money This is kind of an obvious one as you arent going to get very far without money and if you dont have at least this with you to start of ...  Read the complete review

I like everyone love to go on holiday there are some essentials that I would be lost without. Listed below are my essentials and should be good advice to any traveller. 1 - Travel documents Always ensure that you have your passport and tickets. Ensure that these are safely kept in your hand luggage that is safe but easy for you to get to them. When you are at your destination ensure that they are kept in a safe place. Most hotels will have safes that you are able to keep them in to ensure they are not lost. If this is not possible make sure they are in a safe place in your hotel room where you will remember where they are for your journey home. ...  Read the complete review

I like to consider myself an experienced traveller. Not only in terms of going to exotic places, but also for short breaks around the United Kingdom, often visiting friends. As a non car driver and a keen train and bus user, I have learnt how to pack things that are essntial, there is nothing worse than being on a packed train with a huge suitcase causing disruption to fellow commuters. It just becomes a chore that you could do without and makes what essentially, should be an enjoyable part of the experience, rather daunting. I travel around the UK alot visiting friends and family, I am always amazed at how much of our country I have not seen and I ...  Read the complete review

Great news - we're off on our holidays next Monday, so I'm starting to sort out all the things we need to take with us. The not so great news - a week in the UK with the worst Summer weather since, well, the last British Summer. Throw in a couple of kids, a tetchy husband and the current economic climate and lets see how much fun we can have! Anyway, in light of the circumstances, I've been revising the list of essentials that we'll be needing for our week in the British rain. For anybody else daft enough to be holidaying in the UK, here's my guide to the essentials: 1. Swap your Passports for an A-Z of the British Isles (or upgrade to a Sat Nav) We've ...  Read the complete review
