Advantages: Important Stuff

Disadvantages: I hate packing

On these cold winter nights thoughts often turn to warmer places and I'm no different as I can't wait for the summer to arrive and I can go somewhere nice and warm so here are my ten essentials.

1. Passports, tickets, insurance documents and travel money can all be lumped into one whole group as without them the holiday is a non starter.

2. Suncream is an absolute essential as I love to relax either by the pool or on the beach and although I tend to tan you still need to protect your skin.

3. Moisturiser for those nights after a day in the sun to take care of your skin and to provide some TLC for any sore bits.

4. Sunglasses so that I look cool and can also scope out any fit guys without them noticing.

5. I love to have music so these days I always pack my i-pod and the charger to ensure I can listen to my favourite tunes.

6. A good crime thriller is essential to while away those hours spent by the pool.

7. My mobile phone goes everywhere with me so that I can keep in touch with family and also text friends to remind them what a great time I'm having while they work away at home.

8. A hot little number or ten for those evenings on the town putting my best foot forward on the dance floor.

9. My pink cowboy stetson always gets me noticed, you have to have something that makes you stand out and this hat looks so cool either on or hanging around the back of my neck.

10. No holiday would be complete without your friends (except the one stuck at work see number 7)and at a push I would even take my partner :)

So concludes my top ten holiday essentials.
