Advantages: There all great
Disadvantages: none
Ok my top 10 things to take on holiday with you, of course it all depends on what you are doing and where you are going but here goes anyway:
1. My Nationwide flexaccount debit card, this card is great as it lets you withdraw cash at any ATM with no fee's and there is no currency loading - the cheapest and safest way to get your cash.
1a. My Nationwide credit card for the same reasons as above.
2. Ipod - you never know when you need it, for entertaining and importantly to shut yourself off from your inflight neighbour who wants to talk to you for hours.
3. Travel adaptor - esssential for charging all those gadgets.
4. Camera - obvious but you gotta have it.
5. Duck tape - great for fixing your luggage, securing your luggage allsorts always worth taking in the backpack.
6. Travel guide - lonely planet is my favourite but don't overly rely on it, it is only a guide afterall.
7. USB memory stick - on this I keep scanned copies of my important documents - passport, credit cards, visas also travel itinerary/e-tickets, emergency contact numbers if you lose your phone.
8. First aid kit - nothing fancy plasters, paracetamol, anti septic cream, insect repellent and anti histamine cream.
9. A couple of low value travellers cheques tucked away for a emergencies.
10. Travel towel - these are great really small and super absorbant, anti odour and anti bacterial. I use the Nobac Aztec (I will do a review of it now that I remember)
Summary: Pack these - but travel light.

- 29/07/08 Number (1) is a good choice - Nationwide has the fairest policy on foreign use of any high street bank/building society. I'll be taking mine next time I'm abroad. |
