Advantages: I love holidays!!
Disadvantages: I've never packed for myself before, this could be interesting...
For my holiday this year, I'm planning to go away to Spain with my friends as its the last summer before the big slog that is A2's and we may never get the opportunity again. I've never packed for myself before so this will be a new and exciting challenge for me as most of the time i'm only useful for sitting on the suitcase so my mum can close it!
So anyway, on to the packing of the essentials!
1. My GHD's- My hair, when I get up in the morning, is naturally in perfect ringlets. Why do I need my straightners then I hear you say? Well, Although they are perfectly formed ringlets, when they've stuck themselves to the top of your head and are making you look like your trying to grow an afro (attractive!) , then they become a problem. I love my GHD's because they straighten my hair to perfection, I've tried other peoples straighteners but they don't even come close to GHD's, plus, you can unscrew the plug and change it to a european one so when I go to Spain, this will be highly useful!
2. My make up- Ahhh, the much loved 'war paint', I love my makeup, I don't think I've been out in public without at least foundation, eyeliner and mascara for years! I couldn't cope without it in a foreign country, plus, everyone loves a holiday romance, and makeup, definitely helps!
3. Clothes- As long as I have my make up and my hair done, I could be naked and I wouldn't care, however as this is not that kind of holiday, I think I should probably include some! where would i be without my clothes?! I've got to pack some for the day, some for the night, spares for if something happens to the day ones and then! I've got to coordinate them with shoes, shades and general accessories! Hmmm, this packing malarky is going to be highly stressful!
4. My magazines- I love reading my magazines by the pool, its an excellent way to keep entertained while trying to acheive the full body tan, I especially like closer, take a break and pick me up.
5. My sunglasses- so the hot life guard can't see me and my mates staring at him :D , not just for keeping the sun out of your eyes ladies! ;)
6. an electric fan for if the heat gets too much
7. A bikini- despite being not particularly thin, I still wear a bikini on holiday because I plain and simply don't feel the need to hide away infront of people I am never going to see again. This 1) sacrifices the all over tan I spent most of my holiday trying to create 2) is pointless because a swimming costume makes me look just as bad when I could be perfecting the all over body tan!
8. deodorant- because where ever I go I know its going to be hot and BO isn't an attractive smell, as you probably know!
9. a pair of flip flops to match every outfit!
10. My mobile phone, because you never know when your gonna have to call 112 (the european emergency number)
Summary: Essentially essential for surviving your holiday!
