The only competition involved in the 100M is Maurice Greene and the World Record. Let's face it, he is the fastest man on earth and very enjoyable to watch as well.

Men run the 100M in just under 10 seconds, Women just over. My personal best is a dismal 14.5 seconds, I am ashamed to admit.

I was watching highlights of the World Championships and was outraged at the abuse, that shot putter got for running a race he never had in his life. Exuse me for forgetting his name ( mind draws blank so late at night ) but I thought he did well. Yeah he came last and yeah some of my friends could run faster, but he is a Shott-Putter and is well built, not a sprinter by no standards and I think he was happy with what he accomplished, name Jones rings a bell, oh and was he not connected with drug allegations at Sydney?

Anyways, to run the 100M, you need to have strenth, speed and a good attitude. Hard training is involved with sprinting, ok with all events but I was a sprinter. Infact I was a hurdler, odd because am so small but still did ok! I gave up sprinting and athletics because it was too tough for me, high demands and expectations.

The Critism into Edmington ( that right ) and how we only got a Gold Medal from Johnathan Edwards in the Triple Jump and 1 Bronze for Dean Macey in the Decatholon is due maybe. However, Athletes are under contstant srain and well, will not always perform. I am sure the Olympics took a lot out of them, and we do critise football players when they play bad, but they have a few bad games a season and we see them in action for about 40. How often to we see Athletes, I believe it is unfair pressure and seem to be dwindling odd the subject of the 100M.

I suppose it is all connected really. Also, what can you say about the 100M except that is a straight sprint down 100M, simple as that isn't it. We have had good sprinters like Linford Cristie but at the moment, Maurice Greene rules the w
