5 Reasons Why I Think I'm Strange |

Advantages: Makes me who I am
Disadvantages: Makes me a little bit weird
When I first saw this category I thought, well I can't write anything in that one because I'm completely normal. Aren't I?? Then I started noticing and realising things about myself that are, however normal to me, somewhat strange to others.
1. When walking down the street with my husband or someone else I'm close to in my family, I have to walk the same side of a lampost or sign as them. If we go around the lampost on different sides, I have to run back and make sure I go round it the same side as they did.
2. I'm allergic to nuts, every single type of nut, and I've been tested to prove this. When I accidentally eat them, like when there's traces of nuts in something, my lips and throat swell up which is obviously life threatening. However, some nuts I can eat without getting any reaction. I can eat Snickers bars, peanut M&Ms, bakewell tarts (which have almonds in them) and plain peanuts. I am allergic to plain peanuts, the test proved this, but with most I don't get a reaction. A weird one is that I can eat smooth peanut butter but not crunchy peanut butter. If I have crunchy peanut butter my throat will swell up. Don't ask, I have no idea why!
3. Whenever I go to bed, no matter what the weather or how hot or cold I am, I always pull the duvet right up to underneath my chin and make sure every part of me is tucked inside apart from my face. Even if I'm sweltering hot, I can't sleep unless I'm completely covered!
4. After every meal I have at dinner I crave some chocolate and a cold glass of milk. Even if I'm stuffed to the brim and bloated and feel sick, I still need to have my chocolate and milk fix or else I don't feel satisfied.
5. I don't eat red meat, I only eat white - so fish, chicken, etc. Only, I do eat sausages, bacon and ham but not pork. I also eat the occasional hamburger from Maccy D's but only because I've told myself over and over that it's called a HAMburger so it must be ham. I also sometimes succumb to spaghetti bolognese and lasagne, oh OK fine, and I love mince pies. But steak and any other such thing that looks or smells like an animal makes me feel sick. I can only eat it if it's mince - and only beef mince definitely not lamb. The sight of a bloody steak makes my stomach curdle.
So there are just a few of the things that make a weird. I'm sure I could think of plenty more - like my husband has to be the last thing I see before I go to sleep at night, I cry at almost everything that's a slight bit sad, the very corners of my toast have to be buttered, I am a messy pig but extremely organised when it comes to travel ... the list could go on!
Summary: Hope you still like me!
