5 Reasons Why I Think I'm Strange |

I've read a few of these recently and thought that I would jump on the bandwagon. And since I haven't written anything since Speakers Corner has become Dooyoo Lounge I thought I'd add my bit.
1) I find the thought of sandwiches strange and actually quite disgusting.
Seriously, I find the thought of having something other than just bread and butter (or any type of spread) really disgusting. I don't get it. I think a sandwich is bread with flora/butter. I can stretch to allowing jam or peanut butter or if it is melted, I can handle cheese on toast but the thought of putting chicken or salad in just doesn't seem right. In fact, if anyone even suggests to me that I should have a sandwich it makes me feel quite ill.
2) I love crime and murders.
Real or fiction, I am fascinated by anything to do with crime and murders, especially the latter. Whether it is watching the news or reading a book, watching a television program or reading studies, I am always shocked by my interest in such topics.
I love reading books by authors like Martina Cole, Karin Slaughter, James Patterson, Tess Gerritsen and Kathy Reichs. Often I find the more gruesome they are, the more that I enjoy them. And I love watching TV programs like Silent Witness, Wire In The Blood, Bone and Criminal Minds. A good episode is better than a good night out for me. That's pretty strange right?
3) I eat almost everything in a strange way.
Whether it is pizza, a chocolate bar or chips, I eat them in my own way, usually dissecting or playing with it first. For example, when I eat a Milkyway bar, I always eat the chocolate around the outside first and then roll the nougat into a ball and eat it. With pizza, I tear off a piece of the crust and dip it into the tomato puree on the base and then eat it.
Random? You're probably right but it actually seems strange when I eat things whole and properly. It doesn't taste as good and I don't feel like I'm getting the most of it.
4) I am obsessed with Arsenal Football Club.
My name is Lauren and I have an addiction. It is Arsenal Football Club. I am a 21 year old female and love Arsenal with a passion. I was brought up from a young age supporting this amazing team and I seem to have grown something of an obsession. Every day, several times a day, I find myself checking not only the official Arsenal website for news about my favourite football club, but any website that has a slight link to any news, current or otherwise. I love it. My boyfriend thinks that my room looks like it should be a boy's bedroom as I have a number of framed Arsenal pictures on my wall, as well as an Arsenal calendar, two canvases and shirt shaped Arsenal pillow.
I also have a season ticket which allows me to go to all of the home league games as well as a number of the Champions League and FA Cup games. Each time I attend the match, I'll buy a program just to read more about the team news whether it is the first team, reserves or youth.
I'm not going to change this any time soon so those who know me have learnt to love it... or at least tolerate it. :o)
5) I talk and do things in my sleep yet never remember a thing.
There have been a number of times when my family and friends have had to listen to me sleep talking and on occasion other random things. The most recent incident was whilst on holiday with my boyfriend and he said that I started a conversation up out of the blue. It was about Eastenders and completely different to the storylines. Very odd.
The most bizarre incident was when I had had an injection in my right arm and I had gone to bed. I was completely asleep and my mum tells me this is what happened. She opened my door and turned my light on and asked if I was ok. I chucked my arm into the air and yelled "My arm". She was a bit confused and asked again if I was ok. I bolted upright and stared directly at her and repeated "My arm". I then laid back down in my bed and appeared to go back to sleep. I had and still have absolutely no recollection of this but I don't see what reason my mum has for making it up so I believe her.
So, do you think I'm weird? Or are any of you lot like me? Let me know in the comments box.
Summary: Weird or Wonderful? You decide
