tangoman84 Toy Cars: ... a young boy I used to be someone who had a hugely imaginative mind and this allowed me to make the most of the toys I had at my disposal so whenever I went to my local shops I would have my pocket money and I would be picking up the little toy cars on offer as they were only about £1.99 normally each (tells you it was over 10 years ago really doesn t it?). So what is the fascination with toy cars? Well I remember...

clairedooyoo Knitting
... a day to day what did you get up to last night conversation with my colleague, she informed me that she had finished knitting herself a scarf. I immediately wanted to get involved in making myself items to wear so asked her to teach me. Before long others in our office had joined in the fun. And that s what knitting is, a fun past time. And it s lovely to have an item to show for your hard work at the end. I am still a novice at knitting, so far I have not steered away from making scarves. Although now I do feel like I have perfected my knit and pearl I may give following a pattern a go. This does require a lot more concentration and work though. Although knitt...

Diane3 Glass Painting
... is my 100th review. I know I should share some information about myself but I don t want to do it the regular way. I will share with you my technique of relax: painting glass. I got a lovely candle holder painted by a very kind friend of mine. I loved it as its colours are beautiful especially when I lit the candle. I asked her how she made it and a few weeks later I asked her to come with me to help to buy a starters pack. I bought a contour paint, 6 different colours of glass paint, paint thinner, 2 paintbrushes and two glasses. I was very excited to try them so after I arrived home I started painting the first glass. It was a triangle based glass which is now u...

I like writing short stories, poems and novels (which I m still working on). Here are a few tips I found out along the way. If you ve got an idea write it down ASAP. It s amazing how quickly you can forget it and it s very annoying. Write about what you know. This will give your work a sense of realism about it. Try and write everyday, even if it just a sentence or a paragraph, it doesn t have to be a full chapter. This is especially true in the case of novels. If you leave your work for too long then it won t flow an...
