A level horror storiesNewest Review: ... are getting more free time here but after a while we realised that we just were not learning anything at all. We did tell our school about what was happening but they just said that they would sort it out but of course nothing ever got sorted and it all came to a head when the teacher found out we had complained about him and he became even more withdrawn from us as if he really couldn’t be bothered to teach us anymore. While this was going on with Biology we were also having a horrible problem with the English Literature teacher at the other school. Now I know it was a long time ago now when I took my A levels but they were a sham let me tell you and I thought it would be interesting to tell you a little about why my A levels were just ridiculously bad and also a little bit about why this subject has come up in my head lately. For those of you who don’t know A levels are the next qualification up from GCSE. You can take them in sixth form which will usually be at a school or you can go and study for them at a college. Ok, things having gone your way, it may seem like the end of the world, believe me I have been there and I have no desire to go there again! About 5 years ago I was in the same position and I had the worst A level experience possible (you may well rival it, so feel free to make me feel like I am not the only one!). I was predicted 3 A’s at A level and had worked so hard that I actually felt that this was in my reach. I had a place to study law at one of the top red brick universities for AAA and I hadn’t really thought about what I would do if I didn’t get in.
