There has been controversy over the subject of abortion for centuries but we have never been able to agree on whether it is right or wrong.
People have been voicing their opinions on the subject and everyone has a right to an opinion.
However, I personally feel that abortion is wrong unless in extreme cases, ie, there is fear that the mother could die.
Having a baby is natural and part of nature, therefore to intervene with nature, seems wrong.
A baby is a baby from the day it is conceived and having an abortion is therefore like killing a child.
There are many arguments for and against abortion. People believe that it is ok to abort an unwanted pregnancy and argue that if the child will be born it will be unwanted so isn't it better to have an abortion. People also sometimes want to abort if they find out during the pregnancy that the baby may have a disability, however a child is a child and a parent should love their child however they are, able or disable.
To conclude, abortion should not be allowed unless the mothers life is in danger.

Bringing up a disabled child must be very difficult for the family of that child. Being disabled must be difficult for that child too, but the point I would like to put across is that shouldn't every person have at least the right to life. Why should we take that right away from them.
Also, I was just reading that a baby's heart begins beating at week 6 of the pregnancy.
A few of you are giving the example of cancer, yes I see the point bu then doctors intervene wth cancer to save a life, with an abortion,doctors intervene with a pregnancy to take a life away. |

tas1, while I agree with you on principle (pal?) I could pick your argument to pieces easily.
For a start, birth is natural and should be allowed to take its course? Someone with cancer will die eventually and naturally, but shouldn't we intervene to stop it? |
