Advantages: is. still a great leader and motivator

Disadvantages: injuries effectively ending his career

during a long career, Adams has give a lot back to Arsenal. Despite problems with alcohol, he commendably managed to get his career back on track. You have to wonder though, just how long he can go on playing at the top level. For the last few seasons he has been unable to put together any sort of a run in the Arsenal team. Continuous niggling injuries have seriously limited his effectiveness as a player, and usefulness to Arsenal. Unbelievably, he is still in the England team, now as captain. A few years a go he should have been captain. Shearer is selfish, moody and a useless captain. The England captain has to be a first choice for the national side. Adams is unable to fulfil this demand because of his performances as well as injuries. Surely he must have to consider retirement after a superb career, rather than struggling on as he
