Hepatitis C Virus(HCV) is...well....a virus that runs through the blood stream. It is basically liver disease that start off as liver disease it progresses into it. Believe it or not it was only discovered in the 1980's. It isn't related to Hep A or Hep B but does have similar symptoms. It is usually passed blood-blood i.e. syringes, toothbrushes, razors, cuts etc. It can be passed through sexual intercourse but is highly unlikely. I wish more web sites covering this subject could be more succinct! Your overview was complete, easy to read, not offputting and moreover reasuring to those of you who do not have the disease, I think. As well as those of us that do. I find such stigma attached to that and HIV for those people who won't learn more about how "not easy" to catch these things are.
